Three Doctrinal things the bible offers to help you grow spiritually while learning

“All scripture is inspired by God and profitable (used) for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness.” 2 Timothy 3:16

The bible is a profitable and inspired word of God and is profitable for teaching, a doctrine that tells you what you believe. The problem of today’s generation is that we do not know the doctrine.

And since we clearly don’t know or understand the doctrine, we all have to learn it. What you believe will determine how you behave, and you cannot behave biblically if you don’t think Biblically.

The Bible is our main source of reproof. It’s our guidebook and reveals of our true nature. It reveals our flaws, our thinking, our character, and no other book in the world can do that to the extent the Bible can. With the Bible, we teach, reprove, correct, and train others as well as ourselves. In this post I want us to take a look at how the Bible helps us in behaving biblically.

So here are the three things you should be aware of

The Bible Rebukes – the Bible tells you what is wrong and you have got to watch out. Correction is not judgment, as the Bible says that we should correct, rebuke and be bold to those who are sinning. It is to be done in an act of caring for them in the hope that they will believe. Throughout the Bible there many rebukes given by the Lord. He rebuked Adam, Eve, Abel, Sarah, Moses, Nathan, and Daniel. Jesus even rebuked hypocritical religious leaders, all twelve of his disciples, Peter, the churches of Asia, and he even rebukes us today.

The Bible offers correction – the Bible shows us the will of God and what is right to do. It congratulates you when you have done the right thing. The Bible is there to tell you what is right. (Proverbs 12:1, whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but whoever hates correction is stupid.)

The Bible trains us – Correction is always a necessary complement to any reproof. With the reproof we see where we are wrong, while with the correction we know what the right thing to do is. In the case of Ephesians 4:31, that we saw above, it is enough to go one verse further to receive after the reproof, the correction. The Bible trains us how to do right and how to live right. We learn from the results of failing in life especially through the History of Israel as a nation. God had to train then and He has given us the instructions on how he led them.

Those are the few tips on how the bible helps us in the learning process of our life.
