THE KEY INGREDIENT WE ALL NEED FOR A SUCCESSFUL MINISTRY

The key to a successful ministry is prayer, however the key to a successful prayer is praying in the Holy Spirit, but how do we get the Holy Spirit to assist us in Prayer?

It is not always easy finding the right words to pray. On certain days we may be feeling particularly uninspired and no words come to mind to express ourselves. We need to ask the Lord Jesus to teach us how to pray, we need to ask him to fill us with the gift of the Holy Spirit, so that we can be able to pray in the Spirit.

When we pray in the Spirit for our Ministry, we pray a prayer that really changes things, however we cannot pray in the Spirit when we do not possess the Holy Spirit in our lives, or when we don’t know how to pray in the Spirit. We need to come with our open hands to the Father through Christ Jesus and ask Him for the Gift of the Holy Spirit, especially when it comes to prayer and praying for the success of our ministries.

We are called to a ministry, and that ministry is valid and successful only when we pray in the Holy Spirit. So far only few of the prophesying Christians see this missing link in our ministry. We need to ask the Lord Jesus to open our Spiritual eyes so that we can see the missing ingredient in our prayer life, the Holy Spirit.

So how can we get the Holy Spirit?

In Mathew 7:7-8 Jesus taught the disciples to ask, seek, and knock continually, repeatedly, and without ceasing for the gift of the Holy Spirit from the father. We as ministers and prophesying Christians should be doing the same today.

The disciples knew how to pray, but they came to understand that the prayer life of their master was so unique and they desired to posses such a prayer life. Don’t we desire such a prayer life too? We should really do, and if we desire to achieve it, we need to learn to pray in the Holy Spirit.

“If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!” (Luke 11:13)

If we ask the father for the Holy Spirit, He is more than willing to bless us.

The master’s ministry in the world was successful because of the relationship he had with the father through prayer. From time to time he will draw away from the multitude and find a place of solitude where he had communion with the father. This relationship with the father at all times is what made the Lord’s Ministry such a successful one up to date.

Our Ministries will become successful only when we’ve learn to spent time with the father through the Holy Spirit our Pray-er. We know to pray, but we do not know how or what to pray for as we ought, but with the Holy Spirit as our helper, we are in the right direction with our ministry because the Holy Spirit takes the desires of our hearts and ministries and clothes them in the Power of God, translating them into petition in line with God’s word and will.

The Lord Jesus is our example in ministry, and his life was one of prayer. If we would be successful in the ministry to which God has called us, we cannot expect to give less emphasis to prayer than our Master did. We must persevere in prayer and learn the secret of waiting in the presence of God that we might know the mind of Spirit in our public service for Him.

So what should be our Key takeaways from this?

We need to understand that the key to a successful ministry is prayer, and the key to a successful prayer is the Holy Spirit, and the key to obtaining the Holy Spirit in our lives is to ask the father for the gift He promised through his son Jesus Christ.

Let us take this lesson to heart and start practicing it, at the end of the day we will be able to lead our ministries the way our heavenly father desires for us. Ask for God’s grace to help you in asking and praying in the Spirit for your ministry.
